2020 BERNINA Software Inspirations Club

This is a 10 month club.

Dive into Embroidery Software 8.1 in 2020! These ten lessons will cover the new BERNINA Embroidery Software 8 features. V8 is the perfect companion to your embroidery machine. Developed and presented by Debbi Lashbrook, Julie adds an additional twist.

The ten hands-on lessons will guide you through many of the features of BERNINA Embroidery Software 8.

Twelve lessons are included. Each lesson contains a video featuring a demonstration and an explanation of software techniques with step-by-step handouts.

Clubs include class files on a personalized USB stick, instruction, and camaraderie. Additional supplies (thread, fabric, etc.) may be required. You will receive 20% off store wide on all purchases on the day of the class.

For class files only, bring your USB stick to the store. Class files (without attendance) are $20.

Clubs are a great way to expand your skills!

Software Inspirations Hands on Classes are held on Thursdays at 10:30 am OR Saturdays at 10:30 am. You will be expected to bring a computer, and to work through the exercises.

#1 January-February Back to Basics with Quilting

The quilter program is a powerful tool for designing your own quilts. You can import fabrics, add embroidery of appliqué and design your own quilting designs, We'll explore what the Quilter program can accomplish.

#2 March Artwork Canvas Basics

Let's take a look at some of the unique features of ArtWork Canvas and what it adds to your embroidery capabilities.

#3 April Creating with Patterns

We will look at what to consider when creating pattern runs and fills as well as how to create patterns that can be used for knock down backgrounds for terry cloth and for a background for free-standing lace.

#4 May Creating Logos

In ArtWork Canvas we have several tools for converting bitmap images into vector images. We'll look at some of these tools and how we decide which one to use in the creation of a logo design.

#5 June Multi-Hooping

Yes, it is possible to do a design larger than your embroidery hoop. Learn the basics of multi-hooping and how to apply it to your own projects.

#6 July-August Choosing Artwork for Digitizing

Let's talk about different types of artwork and how you make decisions on how to process artwork into stitches. Learn the best method to use for your art, and how to handle sketched designs and photographs. You'll discover tools in ArtWork Canvas that can help prepare artwork for digitizing.

#7 September Stumpwork

Learn to create a StumpWork design from beginning to end. We'll discuss how to create the design and how to stitch it.

#8 October Digitizing CutWork Designs

In this lesson we will explore how to create a CutWork design from beginning to end, as well as how to use the CutWork tool for embroidered cutwork and heirloom embellishments.

#9 November Multi-Media

With the inclusion of CorelDraw in our software, we have lots of opportunity to mix pictures with stitching. Let's investigate some of these combination possibilities.

#10 December Cross Stitch
